Recipe/Approach:
When looking to bring in some specialty spirits to our spirits program, we knew we needed to keep it local. A classic highlight for bar programs, an orange liqueur perfect to finish off a margarita or lemon drop. We opted for freshly peeled navel oranges in the recipe to preserve that fresh flavor. The barrel aging process reduces the pithy flavor of the peels and leaves a wonderfully rested spirit. Once harvested after aging for about 6 months, this orange infusion is blended with honey sourced from local bee farms like Half Moon Honey and Filoli. Adding botanicals like cardamon and coriander finishes this spirit, and makes it a bolder bodied liqueur. 
 
Tasting Notes:
On the palate, warm notes of fresh orange lead, gently coating the tongue with bright citrus. This gives way to organic floral honey, offering a subtle sweetness that complements the natural character of the fruit and the work of the bees.
